our next little project

12 Apr

You’ll have to forgive me as my posts will likely be a little sporadic for the next few months – we are getting back into wedding season which means I am busy, busy, busy. And, we’ll also be traveling to St. Louis/Chicago soon (I’m shooting a wedding in St. Louis and Mike and Zoey are coming along so we can have a little family trip after – taking a train to Chicago!).

But, coming up soon with a little of my free time I want to work on this chair – I got it for $40 on CL a few months back and it’s the perfect little chair for the corner of our bedroom.

It totally reminds me of the West Elm modern windsor chair:

However, I’m thinking it needs a little makeover. I’m not in love with the warm toned paisley fabric (I’m thinking something mid century similar to what I did with the dining chairs) and I’m also thinking of painting it white (though Mike and I are at odds about that, he says keep it wood). What do you all think? White or no? Fun fabric? It seems premature to be working on a chair for our master bedroom when it really needs an overall makeover, but that will be coming soon (hopefully end of May after we close on the Agave house).

Keep it wood! The wood is SO fantastic- just switch up the fabric. You can always change fabric- you would NEVER be able to bring it back from painting it.
